The Head of State also picked former Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo who he appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Kenya Sugar Board, while former Kesses MP Swarup Mishra has been chosen as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Kenya Biovax Institute Limited.
According to the Gazette Notice, the three appointees will hold their respective positions for a term of three years, with their appointments taking effect immediately.
Gumbo's appointment comes almost a year after his selection as Roads and Transport Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) was thwarted by courts that had declared the position unconstitutional.
The former Rarieda lawmaker has been President William Ruto's point man in Siaya County and the wider Nyanza region.
Mishra on the other hand unsuccessfully tried to recapture the Kesses parliamentary seat in the last General Election.
Gumbo and Mishra's appointments add to Ruto's bid to find positions for politicians allied to his United Democratic Alliance (UDA) who aren't in any government positions.
